Good morning ๐ŸŒ„ My #coffeeandcurrentlyreading to Good morning ๐ŸŒ„ My #coffeeandcurrentlyreading today is Twice a Daughter by @juliemcgue. I was in the mood for a memoir so I'm glad this was in my #tbr basket!

Blurb:
Julie is adopted. She is also a twin. Because their adoption was closed, she and her sister lack both a health history and their adoption papersโ€•which becomes an issue for Julie when, at forty-eight years old, she finds herself facing several serious health issues.

To launch the probe into her closed adoption, Julie first needs the support of her sister. The twins talk things over, and make a pact: Julie will approach their adoptive parents for the adoption paperwork and investigate search options, and the sisters will split the costs involved in locating their birth relatives. But their adoptive parents aren't happy that their daughters want to locate their birth parentsโ€•and that is only the first of many obstacles Julie will come up against as she digs into her background.

Julie's search for her birth relatives spans years and involves a search agency, a PI, a confidential intermediary, a judge, an adoption agency, a social worker, and a genealogist. By journey's end, what began as a simple desire for a family medical history has evolved into a complicated questโ€•one that unearths secrets, lies, and family members that are literally right next door.

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป I'm Joli, for those who haven't yet se Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป I'm Joli, for those who haven't yet seen my face! This is my little corner desk in my little bedroom in my little house, and it's often where I work on the LQ blog!

I have a question for you. Are you a bookstagrammer wishing you had a blog sometimes so you could post longer reviews or book lists? Or maybe you have a book blog and you're interested in posting elsewhere to gain links to your site and expand your blog/writing?

I am always open to guest blog posts and new regular contributors on LQ! I added a link to our Write for Us form in my bio. We get a decent amount of traffic and Google tends to like us (swipe for an example).

So there you have it, just wanted to share this little invite โ˜บ๏ธ. Have a lovely day ๐ŸŒ„

April 9, 1960 is my sweet mom's birthday. She wasn April 9, 1960 is my sweet mom's birthday. She wasn't a huge reader in her adult life, but she sure did work hard to instill a love of reading in her kids. She read to me every night when I was a girl, and we made it through every one of her collection of Trixie Belden books ๐Ÿ’œ. I'm so happy to have her collection, which she got when she was a girl.

She died suddenly and unexpectedly in November of 2014 and man, do I miss her. Had to set up this pretty Trixie stack today on her birthday ๐ŸŽ‚.

Sending my love and deep empathy today to anyone else who has lost a mom ๐Ÿ’œ.

But on the positive side, I'm loving my bright and cheery #tbr basket that's full of goodies, and my pup is beautiful as always ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿป. Her name is Freya and she's a black lab mix ๐Ÿ–ค.

What's coming up on your TBR you're most excited for? I'm looking forward to all of these very much, but The Lost Apothecary is so widely loved and hyped, I probably have to pick that one!
